Luxurious Great Room Interior Design For The Hampton Designer Showhouse 2025

“Rufus Dreaming”, is an interior design and build for a poetic Great Room created as a tribute to a senior dog named Rufus and his devoted human, Aamito. The space honors their quiet companionship while reflecting on the gentle rhythms of aging, memory, and love.

The design draws inspiration from Rufus’s favorite retreat, Agawam Park in Southampton, NY. Wanting to bring the park’s serene energy indoors, Aamito commissioned a space where structured design meets natural calm. The result is a room that feels both grounded and dreamlike, softened by an earthy palette, refined forms, and poetic restraint.
